One of our exciting clients for 2013, America Walks (AW), is a national, non-profit organization devoted exclusively to promoting walking and walkability. Their mission is to make America a great place to walk. To that end, America Walks provides technical assistance and training that is designed to assist communities, organizations and individuals in the development of effective local walking advocates, engage communities in measuring and improving their walkability, and help individuals understand the multiple benefits of walking for leisure and transport. In 2012 and 2013, S & G Endeavors facilitated nine Walking Action Network Strategy Workshops, explained within this report and supplemented by the additional seven case studies of various community-driven efforts.
